Turning natural language into a usable website is less about the model and more about the guardrails around it. Here's the shape of the system I built for PT. EbyB's marketplace.
Structured output, not vibes
Freeform HTML generation drifts fast. I constrained Gemini to a schema of allowed sections and a Tailwind-only styling contract, then validated every generation before it ever reached a preview.
Semantic by default
Accessibility isn't a post-processing step. The prompt scaffolding forces landmark elements, alt text, and heading order — so the output passes an axe audit out of the box.
// pseudo: validate before render
const layout = await gemini.generate(prompt, { schema: LayoutSchema });
assertValidTailwind(layout);
renderPreview(layout);
The result: vendors describe a site in a sentence and get something they can actually ship.
